A workshop is conducted on the topic “Computer Literacy” on Saturday, 7th September, 2019 at MCD office, Kashmere gate. It was organized for MCD employees. The workshop was conducted by Dr. Manjot Kaur Bhatia and Dr. Deepti Sharma from Department of Information Technology, JIMS, Rohini , Delhi.
Workshop was attended by 46 MCD executives where they have learnt the basic skills required to perform day to day tasks on computers. The topics covered were MS-office consisting of MS-Word, MS-Excel and MS-Powerpoint. Dr. Manjot taught features of MS Word which includes formatting text and paragraphs, find and replace text in document, headers and footers, setting up page and background, spelling and grammar and understanding different document views. Dr. Deepti trained the learners the features of MS Excel which includes understanding worksheet and workbook, autoFill feature, using formulas and functions, cell referencing, charts and graphs and sorting and filter. She also trained them on MS Power point features which include creating and formatting presentations, applying designs and themes, slides animations and transitions, presenting slide show and different presentation views.
It was an interactive session with lot of enthusiasm and queries from learners to their session speakers.
