IP Department of JIMS organized “Health Awareness Series (version 4.0) on “Smoking and Alcohol” on 24th September 2018 from 12:00 pm to 2:30 pm. In this event senior medical practitioners from renowned hospitals in Delhi addressed the students about various disease related to Smoking and Alcohol.
Session started with the welcome address by Dr Praveen Arora, HoD IP affiliated programs, who highlighted the importance of such awareness events and commitment of JIMS towards it. Dr Negi touched many topics related to Alcoholism, healthy liver, liver transplantation and also the organ donation for the noble cause and highlighted its importance. Dr Maurya discussed about lung cancer and other problems because of smoking and tobacco consumption. Session was highly interactive. Audience comprising of students of BBA and MCA raised many queries which were answered by the panel members.
