Tarkash, JIMS E-Cell organized a Seminar on IPR and START-UP company formation, on Saturday, 16th Feb., 2019. Participants were post graduate students of management and IT, who are interested in setting up their own ventures. Experts for the session, were Ms.Loveleen Gupta and Mr. Kunal Setia.
Ms. Loveleen Gupta is a partner, L. GUPTA & ASSOCIATES, a firm of Practising Company Secretaries. The firm is handling professional work for almost 250 organizations consisting of Listed Companies, Public Limited Companies, Private Companies, NBFCs, LLPs, MNCs, Foreign Companies and NGOs. Its core area of activities includes, inception of ideas, company formation, liasioning with various department in setting up the business, secretarial services, corporate restructuring, foreign collaboration and corporate law. She conducted the session in an interactive mode and gave lots of insight on start-up Company formation, its registration, documentations required as well as various issues involved in these.
Mr.Kunal Setia, a patent expert deliberated on the need and importance of IPR, Patents, Copyrights, Trademarks, etc. He is in the field of IPR for last over seven years, in research, analysis and drafting of IPR proposals. He is expert in patent law and has been handling patent drafting in industries particularly in the technology domains. He have his presentation giving examples of various IPR related cases and issues involved.
Q&A was held at the end in which questions were posed to the participants, while their queries were also handled.
Overall, it was an interesting and informative session and participants gained immensely in terms of company formation and IPR protection.
