Jagannath Incubation Centre (JIC) has been established in the campus of Jagan Institute of Management Studies (JIMS),Sector-5, Rohini, Delhi to encourage, support and promote entrepreneurial abilities among the students across all programs – MCA, PGDM, PGDM-IB, PGDM-RM, BBA and BCA
Under JIC, a StartUp Incubation Program has been introduced to provide comprehensive learning and guidance to those who are planning to setup their own business venture. Throughout the program,participants shall get a rich exposure to the Startup ecosystem by interacting with the incubators, investors, entrepreneurs and associated service providers.They shall be assisted in preparing a viable Business Plan, understanding market environment and refining product or service offerings. It shall also be useful to those who are already running small businesses and want to scale it further.
The Classroom session of JIC Incubation program commenced from Saturday, 18th August, 2018. More than 100 students from across PGDM, MCA, BBA and BCA programs have registered for this unique program. Most of these students have business ideas and now want to convert them into value proposition.
The inaugural session began with an address by Mr.Krishna Chaitanya, a Hyderabad based entrepreneur, who is running his own startup at a young age of 18 years. Chaitanya motivated students by sharing his own journey and how he worked on developing his idea to provide an unconventional solution. Later Dr. Sumesh Raizada, program coordinator gave a brief about the program and its evaluation process. He told that this program is not to provide theoretical learning but to train and mentor participants to setup their own businesses.
The first session was conducted by Mr.Gaurav Vashisht, an entrepreneur and an academician, on the basics of Entrepreneurship and Challenges.
