JIMS Sector 5 organized a one day FDP on "Effective Utilization of CapitaLine Corporate Database in Research" on May 6, 2010 by Mr. Subhash Kumar. Mr. Kumar is a senior executive with Capital Market Publishers India Pvt. Ltd. CapitaLine Database is a corporate data package that provides information of all companies and banks in India, be it related to financial results, corporate actions, or company analysis.
The FDP was well attended by 30 faculty members from various departments of JIMS. The faculty got a practical hands-on experience in the computer lab working with the database. Mr. Kumar demonstrated very effectively how to use the database and extract all the relevant information that a researcher might require while engaged in a research assignment. It was a great learning experience for all faculty members who attended the same.
