Technology is evolving with each passing moment and with this it is also changing how businesses are done in today's world. As a part of guest lecture series, JIMS Rohini organised a session on ‘Trends in Technology and its impact in Retail Industry’ on 14th November 2017 for the students of PGDM- Retail Management (batch 2017-19). The resource person Mr. Divya Kumar Gupta, Director, Focus Infosoft Pvt. Ltd., started the session with a brief on changes and advancements in Technology. Discussion was focused around how technology is not only changing the tech related industry but also how it has deeply impacted other industries like retail and what impact it has left on young management enthusiasts due to join work force soon. The session was tailored for Indian scenarios and full of various examples coming from the vast experience of Mr. Gupta. This activity helped all students to visualize and be aware of the technological changes in various industries, making them all the more ready to join the work force or start a business. All participants left the session with enlightenment and awareness which kicked in them enthusiasm for future.
