Faculty Development Programme

"Interactive Teaching Practices in Present scenario " on 21rd April, 2011

At : Jagan Institute of Management Studies, Delhi.


A Faculty Development Program on “Interactive Teaching Practices in Present Scenario” was organized on April 21st, 2011 at JIMS, Sector - 5, Rohini, New Delhi. The Program was attended by 42 faculty members from various Institutes. Key note speaker, Mr. V. K. Mehta, AGM, Bharat Electronics Ltd., Ghaziabad started with an introductory session with the faculty members, in order to make session more conducive. He then discussed the kinds of inputs required to be put in an educational institute to deliver the desired outputs. Mr. Mehta exemplified the importance of goal identification in life by making the participants write about their goals at various intervals up to 60 years of age. After realization of personal goals amongst participants, he conducted a group activity to understand the expectations of a B-school student, faculty, management and corporate sector amongst each other and the problems faced by each in their goals. The entire program was very enlightening as participants may use this practical learning in their class room teaching. The Program started with a welcome speech by Dr. J.K.Goyal, Director, JIMS and vote of thanks to Mr. Mehta on behalf of JIMS was given by Dr. Madan Mohan, Dean, JIMS.
