JIMS organized Youth Health Mela for post-graduate students of IT department


JIMS organized Youth Health Mela for post-graduate students of IT department on 18th January 2016. Renowned medical practitioners from different verticals of medicine participated in this interactive session and discussed various health and social issues with students. Following doctors participated in this workshop:

The session started with welcome address given by Dr. Praveen Arora, HOD (IP affiliated courses).

Dr. Popli explained the importance of basic life support and demonstrated the right way of giving CPR to a person in need. Students actively participated and learned about right posture and technique of giving CPR.

Students participated in group discussions on various topics of medical and social interest like Sex Education, Smoking Alcoholism and Drug Addiction, Corruption in India and role of youth, Food bans etc. Every group discussion was followed by a question answer round where students got opportunity to have their queries sorted with factual information provided by medical team.

In the valedictory session Dr. J K Goyal, Director, JIMS appreciated the efforts taken by medical team and on behalf of JIMS management and organizing team heartedly thanked the panelist for their valuable time.
