OBJECTIVE OF THE EVENT
The objectives of this seminar is to inspire students to recognize the value of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) in protecting their creative and innovative ideas.
The IIC Student Council organized a seminar on “Basics of Intellectual Property Rights and its importance for Innovators and Entrepreneurs” hosted by Mr. Rishi Kulshresth, Advocate and IPR Consultant at Delhi High Court and District Courts from 11:00 AM onwards in the B Building Room no. B302 on 18 November 2024.
The seminar aimed to inspire participants to recognize the value of protecting their intellectual creations and using IPR as a tool for personal and professional growth. Sessions covered the legal frameworks and processes involved in registering intellectual property, with practical steps for filing patents, trademarks, and securing copyrights.

Participants were actively engaged in the discussion and gained a deeper understanding IPR. The session wrapped up with an engaging Q&A, where Mr. Rishi Kulshresth addressed student’s questions and provided further clarity on specific aspects of IPR.
CONCLUSION
By the end of the workshop, they had gained a deeper understanding of how IPR can be used to protect innovations and enhance business opportunities. Through engaging discussions and case studies, participants saw how intellectual property could be a key driver of economic growth and sustainability. They left equipped with the tools and knowledge to apply IPR principles in their own work, fostering an environment of creativity and ethical use of intellectual assets.

Students were introduced to different forms of IPR, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and industrial designs, gaining a clear understanding of their significance in protecting unique ideas and ensuring long-term benefits for creators.
