Objective:
- Brain Storming: The main objective to organise the event was to target first years and allow them brainstorm on various IT affairs and bend their logical reasoning at the start
- Programming: The second main objective to organize the event was to enhance the programming skills of students and solve the tricky set of questions.
- Communication Skills: The third main objective of the event was to enhance the public speaking or the communication skills of the students where they were given a spontaneous topic to speak upon.
Brief about the event:
It was supported by JIMS Rohini Sector 5. The objective of this event was to make all the students of BCA well aware about the importance, use and need of practicing and being well versed with IT affairs, Logical Reasoning, solve tricky coding problems and most important Public Speaking.
The event had 3 rounds:
- Round 1 was named as IT Affairs where the students had to put their brain at test and answer a snappy 15 questions quiz. The round prohibited the usage of mobile phones and the judgement criteria was based on the early submission with maximum accuracy of the answers.
- Round 2 was named as Code Relay where the students got a set of 5 tricky programming problems and in case they hit a roadblock they got a chance to skip the question. Students got maximum of 45 minutes to complete and submit the solution to that tricky set.
- Followed by, Round 3 which was named as Tech JAM: students here were randomly given a topic to speak upon, the choice of topic was done using luck-of-the-draw game. If the students were unaware about the given topic they could surf the same on google to gather the needed in maximum of 4 minutes.
On the day of event, the turnout was of more than 60 students. The event was opened by Mr. Devesh Lowe (faculty coordinators of IT Club) and was further handed over to student coordinators after explaining the rules of the event for a smooth conduct of it.
The event was concluded on 20th November, first two rounds were held on 6th November 2023 while round 3 was held on 20th November 2023 in B-302 (B Building) The event ended with vote of thanks to all the stakeholders. All the students felt the event to be quite interesting, and showed great interest while looking forward to more such events. The objective of the event was duly achieved, though scope for improvement is always there. The event was successfully conducted by the entire team of TekQbe special regards to the faculty and student coordinators, Mr. Devesh Lowe (Rohan Singh, Diksha, Aman Raiswal, Karman Arora, Aniket Singh , Aditya Pandey, Ishita Jindal, Sahil Kumar, Raghav Garg, Alok Kumar Jha and Vaibhavi Sharma) for coordinating the event that nicely and avoiding the hassle by maintaining the required discipline.
Learning Outcomes:
- Students became well aware about the importance, use and need of practicing and being well versed with IT affairs, Logical Reasoning, solve tricky coding problems and most important Public Speaking.
- It taught them that how important is all of it for a career perspective and they need to be regular on practicing various trick questions to help them build an upper hand on logical reasoning and programming languages
