Department of Information Technology of JIMS Rohini Sector 5, in collaboration with CSI, Delhi Chapter organized 8th Annual InfoTech Symposium, TECHNOWHIZ 2023 on 15th April 2023. The theme of the Symposium was ‘ Evolution of AI based Conversational Systems’. The event took place in Crowne plaza. The chief guest was Mr. Sandeep Jain, Founder and CEO of GeeksforGeeks. The Guest of Honour was Mr. Navendu Brajesh, Head R&D Sopra Steria. The Guest Speakers were Dr. Gaurav Tripathi, Head Scientist, Bharat Electronics Limited and Mr. Abhinav Gupta, Head of Mobility, Techugo. All the speakers discussed about future of AI, NLP and the conversational systems evolution and its impact and applications in the society. The convener of the event were Dr. Deepti Chopra and Ms. Chandni Kohli. The student coordinators were: Priyanshu Mehta, Ritika Singh, Aditya Pandey, Sahil Kumar and Ishita Jindal. During the event the UG Magazine ‘INTELLITRENDS’ was also released.
Objective:
1. To facilitate discussions and interactions among attendees and speakers and to help foster an environment of learning and collaboration
2. The attendees are coming away with new knowledge and perspectives
3. To be able to impart confidence and leadership qualities
Learning Outcomes:
1. The students were enlightened about AI based conversational systems and its evolution.
2. The students gained confidence and leadership skills by taking part as coordinators for different tasks such as overall management, stage management, website management, magazine management, designing, food management, registartion management etc.
3. The students were able to share individual views about conversational systems and various emerging applications of AI with the speakers and be able to gain insight into the topic.
