Karmaarth - Overview

Karmaarth, founded in 2010 is a social development arm of JIMS Group of institutions, which run under the aegis of Jagan Nath Gupta Memorial Educational Society. Karmaarth functions under the visionary guidance of its chief mentor Mr. Manish Gupta, Society Chairman .The core area of Karmaarth is Skill Development Initiative. Here, we aim at complete development of an individual by making him efficient and learned in various skills which he can further use for his sustainable livelihood. We also strive to work towards the holistic development of the society through our Remedial Education Programs, Health Care Services, Adolescent Sensitization and Micro Finance Services.

Vision

Karmaarth has a clear vision to give new meaning to the society wherein each and every individual could feel proud of his existence and could held his head high with pride to be the part of country where the society doesn’t differentiate; and every individual is equal and can stand-up on the same platform with self-dignity

Mission

Karmaarth has a vast mission to make a change in the society by educating, empowering and enabling all those individuals who wish to make a positive change in their lives. In other words, the mission implies an effort to enable them to be self-sustainable and self-reliant so that they could enjoy a healthy and dignified life

History

Karmaarth achieved, what we today are, by moving step by step. We started our operations with just two courses and 120 beneficiaries and are now reaching to more than 15,000 beneficiaries.

• Rohini – Our foundation stone was laid in Rohini near Rithala village in 2010 with 82 trainees and 3 courses (Cutting & tailoring, Computer and Beauty & Wellness).
• Mundka - To spread further, our second branch was estab lished in Mundka in November 2011, which is now the Main branch of Karmaarth. Currently, we are running 6 different courses (GDA, Dress Designing, Assistant Beautician, Data entry, Mobile handset repairing, Customer Care Executive) catering to 7 different sectors of the market. So far, we have impacted the lives of more than 15,000.
• Bhiwani - This was started in May 2012. During the inaugural, a cultural program was organized with the help of local school children who presented a Haryanvi Folkdance, poem on female feticide and a short skit on saving a girl child. Currently, we are running two courses here i.e. Cutting & Tailoring and Computers for girls.

Impact on Society

• Karmaarth aims to work towards Skill Development and Evolution of the deprived community of our society. We channelize our efforts to bridge the gap between the actual manpower conditions with the industrial manpower requirements. We currently have our footprints in Delhi (Mundka) and Haryana (Bhiwani), aiming to spread across the nation.
• We have already impacted the lives of more than 17,000 candidates through skill development.
