Dr. Sumesh Raizada

- Management

Specialisation: Marketing, Strategy and Gen. Management
Sumesh Raizada is presently Professor (Marketing, Strategy and General Management) at the Jagan Institute of Management Studies, Rohini, Delhi. He is Ph.D., MBA and Electrical Engineering graduate. He has nearly twenty years of corporate experience, mainly in the marketing area, in M/s Crompton Greaves Limited. He started his career as a Management Trainee in the production department of M/s Calcom Electronics, an electronics OEM. Dr. Raizada has academic experience of over 12 years in teaching & research. He has presented and published over 30 research papers in conferences and journals, edited 02 books and has contributed nearly 100 newspaper articles. Dr. Raizada has also participated in, organized as well as conducted Workshops, Seminars, MDPs and FDPs. Some of the organizations in which he has conducted training programs are PGCIL, IOCL, P&S Bank, DTC, etc. He has earlier served as Dean for the PGDM and PGDM (Retail Management) programs and Dean (Examinations) at JIMS, Rohini. His areas of interest are Business Marketing, Business Strategy, International Business, Corporate Values & Ethics, CSR, Retail, etc.

Teaching

  • Have earlier been associated with Lucknow University, Integral University, IPM, Lucknow, BLS Institute of Management, Ghaziabad, etc. as visiting / full time faculty
  • Has been in the Corporate for nearly twenty years, mainly with the Crompton Greaves Limited, in the marketing department at Lucknow. Presently member of AIMA, DMA, LMA, etc.
  • Doctoral Research: Awarded Ph.D. on the topic ‘Tecno-Economic Impact of Globalization – With special reference to Uttar Pradesh’, under the guidance of Prof.Mansoor Ali, Retd. Professor, IIT, Roorkee.
  • Presently working in the areas of ERM, B2B marketing, Rural Marketing, etc.
