Dr. N P Singh

- Management

Specialisation: Finance
Dr. Narinder Pal Singh is Associate Professor of Finance at Jagan Institute of Management Studies (JIMS), Delhi. He is JRF UGC-NET qualified, PGDBM (Finance) Gold Medalist and Master of Financial Management (MFM). He earned his M. Phil. (Finance) from University of Delhi and Ph. D (Finance) from Delhi School of Management, Delhi Technological University (DTU). Dr. Singh brings with him over 18 years of teaching experience in courses like Derivatives and Risk Management, Security Analysis and Portfolio management, Financial Management, Operations Research and Business Statistics. His research areas include Market Efficiency, Risk management, Commodity and Stock Derivatives, Financial Markets and Corporate Finance. Dr. Singh has successfully completed summer research fellowship at IIT, Delhi.  He has co-authored two books titled Operations Research and Quantitative Techniques & Operations Research for UG and PG courses for Ane Books India Publications and authored a book titled “Informational Efficiency in Commodity Futures Markets” on Lambert Academic Publishing, Europe.
Dr. Singh has presented papers in International Conferences at IIM-Ahmedabad, IIM Kozhikode, IIM Shillong, IIT Delhi and many other institutes of international repute. His research papers have been published in ABDC, ABS & UGC CARE listed, and Web of Science & Scopus Indexed journals. He has also written some cases in finance for class room discussions. He has delivered sessions in AICTE sponsored STTPs and Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs) on Financial Econometrics and research methodology at reputed universities and B-schools.

Dr. Singh is an editorial board member of international journal - Global Journal of Accounting and Economic Research, and in the Editorial team of Enterprise Risk Management Journal as reviewer. He has reviewed papers for ABDC and UGC CARE listed journals published by international publication houses namely Inderscience and Sage. He has also chaired technical sessions during International Conferences organised by IIM Kozhikode, Calicut; Symbiosis International University, Noida; Shoolini University, Solan and Jagan Institute of Management Studies (JIMS), Delhi.
