IBM plays a significant role in improving the quality of an IT professional through its IBM software Centre of Excellence. IBM provides all the software and resource materials, students get much exposure and scope to know about the latest trends and requirements in the IT industry. IBM also focuses keenly on blue scholars who successfully completed two IBM certifications and IBM TGMC project submission.
The benefit of IBM certifications and blue scholar certificate are enormous. Students get much insight about the latest tools which help them to complete their regular academic project. This kind of industry recognized certifications will enable the student to perform well in their campus placement. These kinds of extracurricular activities will attract the employer to select the students.
Since 2005, our JIMS students are participating in the IBM activities. Every year our students are selected for the face to face participation. Our students won the state award in the year 2010. We have student ambassador for catering the needs of the students regarding IBM tools.
On the 6th August 2009, IBM Chose JIMS as the "Center of Excellence", giving JIMS family a feeling of gratitude & honour. Mr. Dulles Krishnan, Vice - President - Enterprise Cluster IBM inaugurated the COE in JIMS.
