VISIT BLOGThe advent of internet has unleashed a plethora of opportunities to business units as well as to the end customers. No longer is the customer required to stand in long serpentine queue at a daily need outlet to get the requisite product. Instead he enjoys the benefits provided by e-commerce websites by simply placing the product he is looking for after having perused similar products which are offered by other vendors and that too at competitive prices. Also for the vendor things have been simplified to such an extent that he is no longer required to sit idle inside his store or to grapple with ever inquisitive, demanding or time wasting customers in trying to understand their product requirements or trying ardently to convince about the price or the benefit of the product. The smart vendor of today simply connects to e-commerce website and does his business at the ease and comfort of his home.
What would be the future or traditional retail stores? Will it survive the onslaught of E-commerce or will the tradition retail pose a tough competition to e-commerce by suitably modifying the business model, improvising their business processes and ensuring that they are able to meet the market demand? These questions require deep intellectual and highly analytical mindset.
In order to seek answers to these critical questions, a platform is arranged where it can be debated and discussed so as to gauge the future of traditional retail stores in light of an invasion by e-commerce technologies. Further, with tech savvy young generation showing extreme penchant for online shopping and the apparent inclination of old generation of yesteryears to stick to shopping from traditional retail stores the ideal situation has been set so as to assess and gauge the views of denizens who are live in the present but are actually shaping their lifestyle which is in congruence with the modern technological advancements to the denizens who too are living in the present but actually continue to shape their lifestyle with in congruence to traditional customs and mechanisms.
Thus, it is in this connection a platform is arranged wherein intellectuals, industry stalwarts, academia experts, research scholars and other can join in and contribute his or her say in this interesting session in the form of a seminar.
