Those interested in recruitment profile must possess Technical Recruiter- is the one who sources for technical position. To be successful as recruiter one must possess loads of patience, networking skills, negotiator, and ability to close positions quickly. In addition, a flair to understand job requirements is must. A hands on experience on using job portals such as Naukri.com and LinkedIn will be an added advantage.

Technical Recruiters: With the technology industry heading north, skilled and trained manpower is every companies dream. A technical recruiter understands technical requirements of a specific industry and meets company standards and expectations. One opting to be technical recruiter must understand technology, possess sound knowledge of technical profiles, possesses negotiation skills and be patient across people and roles.

HR Generalist: This profile requires an orientation towards entire gamut of HR functions right from recruitment to employee separation. For generalist profile one needs to be flexible, creative and ready to handle pressure.

Trainers: Every company need trainers to upskill people in technical and behavioural components at work. One who loves to be creative and innovative can opt for this side of HR. A trainer has to constantly be on move and try new methods to make learning culture in an organisation fun and effective.

HR Analyst: data scientist interested in churning numbers and deriving meaningful information from the data. One must be skilled in advances analytical tools and ability to write results.

Consultants: One can be associated with RPO (Recruitment process Outsourcing) Companies as a recruitment consultant/ associate most commonly called as recruitment consultancies in India. Such profiles provide incentives per position closed.

HRBP: Human Resource Business Partner role is strategic in nature and those working in this domain work closely with senior management team in aligning people and related strategy with the business objectives. Such positions require a strong business acumen, ability to connect people practices with business, ability to develop HR business models and calculate ROI. These people take responsibility of developing business results through HR.

HR Shared Services: The basic idea is to create efficient service delivery model and economise on cost. A variety of services that can be shared include payroll management, administrative tasks, benefits management, pension etc. A thorough professional approach is desired and one needs to be aware of technological dimensions to work on these platforms. Along with this a person must maintain high commitment levels while working in such profile.

Although people talk of HR profession as the one nurturing people, soft and stable in nature, desk orientated, suitable for females, boring and monotonous, but the winds of change have swept the entire concept of HR.
