Faculty Development Programme
        

"Business Management Simulation" on 2nd & 3rd May, 2011

At : Jagan Institute of Management Studies, Delhi.



A Faculty Development Programme on “Business Management Simulation” was organized by Jagan Institute of Management Studies, Sec-5, Rohini on 2nd and 3rd May 2011 with association of All India Management Association (AIMA). The programme was commenced with the welcome speech of Dr. J. K. Goyal,Director JIMS. It was attended by 32 faculty members.

The programme was organized in such a manner, where participant will have a realistic and enjoyable learning experience and they actually manage a multi-million company in virtual world and benefit with

  •     Understanding the cross functional relationship among various management functions
  •     Exposure to run a company in simulation without causing damage to a live company
  •     Honing strategy decision making skills under resources and time on constraints.
  •     Understanding the financial implications of the decisions taken.
  •     Understanding the importance of the team work under trying business simulations.


The faculty from AIMA, Mr. Vikas Gupta, Mr. D. K. Gupta and Mr. Vijay Singh presented a hypothetical case to all participants and divided into team of four faculty members. Each faculty member was designated the position of CEO, CFO, COO, CMO to take care of each function of the company. The real test of success of a company was earn maximum profit why taking decisions diligently and intelligently.


All the faculty members actively participated and gave excellent feedback for the programme. In their opinion this was a great learning exercise for them. Teaching style and methodology shared by AIMA faculty members really enhanced their knowledge about the corporate world.

Dr. Madan Mohan, Dean, JIMS, expressed his deep sense of gratitude to Mr. Vikas Gupta, Mr. D. K. Gupta and Vijay Singh on behalf of JIMS for such an illuminating exercise.
