XV Annual Convocation of Jagan Institute of Management Studies, Sector-5, Rohini, was held on 9th January 2010 in the campus. Shri G. Madhavan, I.A.S.,(Retd.), Chief Information Commissioner, Haryana, Shri R.M. Malla, Chairman and Managing Director, Small Industries Development Bank of India, Shri V.K. Saxena, I.A.S., Chief Vigilance Officer, RITES Ltd. were the guests of honour. Shri Manish Gupta, Chairman of JIMS presided and Prof. R.P. Maheshwari, Director General, welcomed the guests and conducted the convocation as Master of Ceremonies. Degrees were conferred upon nearly 200 students of MBA and MCA. Prizes were also awarded to 9 meritorious students of each class. Students were sworn with a formal oath to adhere to ethical and professional code of conduct. Guests of Honour exhorted the students to work hard and become entrepreneurs. Shri G. Madhavan enlightened the gathering on the value of hard-work for attaining success in life. Shri R.M. Malla emphasized on the role of entrepreneurs in the progress of this country and how it will pave a new way for a transformed India. Shri Vipin Saxena emphasized the relevance of human skills in the professional arena. He wanted the students to be both hard and smart in their work. Parents and students appreciated the disciplinary approach of the Institute. The function came to a close with a vote of thanks proposed by Dr. J.K. Goyal, Director.
