It has been nearly two decades since Indian government gave up its controlled, inward-looking management system and adopted an open and liberal attitude in tune with global trends. A new class of educational entrepreneurs emerged. In 1993, a group of educationists, philanthropists and industrialists constituted a non-profit educational society named – Jagannath Gupta Memorial Educational Society and started this Institute. During the past sixteen years, JIMS has made a mark in the field of professional education. The USP of JIMS does not lie in doing anything bizarre; anything out of the box; anything unconventional. We would like to remind the oft-repeated Shiv Khera phrase ‘Winners don’t do different things; they do things differently’. Similarly JIMS, like any other Management Institute of repute, does conduct its curricular, co-curricular and extra curricular activities; be it class room teaching; syllabi revision and upgradation; presentations and soft skills; live projects and so on. However, we make sure that the so called routine curricula are delivered in a manner that a student with IT background comprehends the issues in the same manner as a student with English (Hons.) background or Commerce (Hons.) background.

We feel proud to state that even during the recent times when recession had hit every sector of the economy; JIMS recorded a qualitative and quantitative increase in the number of recruiters who came for campus placement. The list of recruiters included not only the private sector but also the public sector. Similarly there was a vast gamut of companies in as diversified fields as banking, insurance, information technology, research, consultancy, agri – business and so on.
