Entrepreneurship Cell at Jagan Institute of Management Studies, organized an event “CREATIVE HAAT” on 1st August, 2013 for the PGDM, PGDM (IB) and PGDM (RM) Batch 2013-15. E-cell aims at transforming business ideas into reality and increasing the Risk taking capabilities among young minds which is a trait of an entrepreneur. They presented the topic “Unleash the Business Idea” where they presented and articulated the thought process of nurturing a business idea. The judges for the event were Prof. Cherian George and Ms. Sarita Solanki, Asst. Professor, JIMS.
 
The idea of the event focused on discovering small but significant entrepreneurs living in local areas. The idea behind the activity was that “Your skills are not judged by where you are but what you do”. These small entrepreneurs are startups and are working at small budgets but their business potential is immense. This was all what the activity focused upon. 60 groups participated and prepared collage, where 10 were shortlisted and 6 were the finalist judged on the basis of their presentation skill of the business idea. The topics were given from segments like Food and Beverages; Designing Strategies; Telecom; Multiple Retail Store and E-commerce.
