Jagan Institute of Management Studies organized a career boosting session on the “Contemporary issues in HR” on 23rd November, 2013 for PGDM students. The speakers for the session were Mr. V.K Sardana, AGM-HR, Dena Bank; Mr. Dhyan PS Chauhan, VP, Accretive Health and Ms. Aprajita Dhaumya, Executive HR, Mancer Consulting Services.
The session started with a Mr. Sardana speaking about labour laws and discipline management. Development of interpersonal skills needs to be focused upon which plays a critical role in career development. Ms Aprajita-JIMS Alumni spoke on the current trends of HR from then and now, she briefed that business interaction is highly important today those who prefer to chose HR as their major specialization.
Further Mr. Chauhan, opined that mindset plays a very vital role; he gave a thought to students by asking “At what level of capability are you investing in; what actually do you want to do?”.
Further the session was open to discussion for a Question Answer Round. Overall it was a great interactive and a learning experience for the students.
