Faculty Development Program  on the topic “MULTIVARIATE DATA ANALYSIS AND STUCTURED EQUATION MODELLING”

Key Resource Person:
Dr. H.K Dangi, Assistant Professor, FMS

At: Jagan Institute of Management Studies, Sector -5, Rohini

Jagan Institute of Management Studies organized a two day faculty development program to promote the culture of research orientation among the faculty members on 12th and 13th June, 2013 on the topic “MULTIVARIATE DATA ANALYSIS AND STUCTURED EQUATION MODELLING”. The key resource person for the session was Dr. H.K Dangi, Assistant Professor, FMS who enriched the knowledge of the participants.
The program aimed at acquainting the participants with simple and exhaustive ways of data analysis through interactive sessions along with theoretical learning and their application in research to enhance the quality of the work of the researchers.

The two day session took place where the discussion took place on

DAY 1
  • Problem definition, Research design, scaling techniques, hypothesis testing-fundamentals
  • Introduction on multivariate analysis
  • Hands on exercise on SPSS with sample data
  • Discussion on research problems of participant on one basis
DAY 2
  • Introduction to SEM, Overview, Theory building and Model formulation, Explanatory factor analysis
  • Measurement and Structural model, Validation and estimation of Models
  • Hands on exercise on AMOS with sample data
  • Discussion on research problems of participant on one to one basis
Overall, the session was highly informative and gave a research stimulus to avid learners. The program was co-ordinated by Dr. Ritu Bajaj, Chief Coordinator – Faculty Development Programme, JIMS.
