A well-rounded, multidisciplinary and growth oriented education alone can ensure success over
the challenging opportunities now available in large numbers to the younger generation. Today,
India is on an upward trajectory recording a consistently higher growth rate and has really picked up the potential to be recognized as an economic power. Whereas, the role of State in imparting such dynamism through strengthening the education system will continue to be of great value,private initiative in this direction in the recent past has been commendable. JIMS through its expanding activities, which have been applauded and appreciated both by the students and the industry, can rightfully claim its contribution in this direction.
The philosophy of JIMS is guided by (i) Trust and Confidence (ii) Transparency and Honesty and (iii) Perfection and Excellence. In ways more than one, JIMS has redefined education through its continuously improved programmes in management and marketing. It believes in interactive teaching, professional management and increasing interaction with industry. It offers a unique blend of knowledge, training and research. The active involvement of management and faculty is reflected in the introduction of new courses and course modules year after year, not only as a reactive endeavor responding to the changing needs of trade and industry, but also as a proactive initiative.
Globalization is now recognized as the most significant development in the world economy since the Industrial Revolution. Its contents, span and depth are no doubt taking the human society to greater heights of prosperity. In view of the phenomenon, we have to bring about a change in the mind-set of the student community. We, at JIMS, are endeavoring to bridge the gap by providing integrated, multidisciplinary and focused educational programmes in business management and information technology. The learning framework of these programmes incorporates interaction of students with academia, corporate leaders and policy-makers through Seminars, Workshops,Presentations as well as guest lectures on subjects of topical value. The formal class-room teaching is reinforced by company visits and internships, consultations and field research studies, which empower the students to take charge of the business world squarely. We are promoting the culture of entrepreneurship with good communication skills, impressive personality and ability to take right decisions at the right movement. JIMS is, therefore, more concerned with not doing the job right alone, but also by doing the right job.
